The flight of icarus no text

In the mid 20th century the world stood still and watched as one man destroyed an entire army without killing a single man.
He was the first known mutant.
Parts of the world heralded him and his kind as the future of humanity, some parts tried to wipe them out and some enslaved them. But this story isn’t about that.
In 2000 an expedition of the world’s best and brightest was collected together, every single one of them someone who could disappear without more than a murmur being issued.
Every country involved had signed the Mutant protection act, except one, America.
The one person who had the ability to instinctively use ancient technology was an American mutant.
What happens when your whole life is flipped to revolve around one broken man?
Welcome to the world where the Icarus was built.

Hi, I recently “discovered” SGA fiction and saw some of your Icarus stories on AO3, so I followed them here. This series is terrific, but only the first two chapter links connect. Have you posted them anywhere else? I would love to read all you have completed.

    1. Hi, nice to hear people are still coming into the fandom! Welcome 😀
I’ve actually pulled this off of archives because of the harassment I got over it, so what you see here is what there is.
I am still working on it but to be honest assholes made me angry so I dropped it to the bottom of my pile. The third chapter is close to finished and is next in queue for me to work on after my Political Animals RoughTrade story so there is probably an update coming this year.

It took me a while to get around to reading this, I regret I hadn’t sooner. Very interesting and a well thought out world your created. Don’t let the haters get to you. As a writer you will always have people that feel they could do better. The point is, instead of doing it themselves they’d rather harass someone that had the courage to do what they couldn’t. I like this story so far, I like that you made John a product of his world yet not completely broken. I like that McKay is capable of stating his fears. If this was an original novel I’d read it. In fact I was coincidentally writing something very similar that has since been set aside. Great minds right?
Keep up the writing, I look forward to reading more. And if you have a mailing list please add me.

Where do I start with this fic? Hoe does Excerpts & Ephemera fit in with the chapters listed above that area?

    Hi.

    1. The chapters listed are the main story and I would recommend starting with those, the Excerpts and Ephemera stories are all outtakes or fit in before the main story.

      Hope you enjoy!
